The following equations and data may be used to calculate the admissible
pulse load ofwirewound resistors. The equations are the results of many separate
experiments and represent the sum of experience. Several other factors, often
application related, cannot beconsidered in our formula which should give safe
operation information rather than exact limiting data.
The downloadable data sheet are in PDF format and can be viewed using the Adobe Acrobat Reader software.

The downloadable table also gives the maximum current Imax through the minimum resistance
Rmin which depends on the internal construction of the resistor.

This series has been specially developed, to offer an alternative for resistor-fuse-combinations.
While series BWF is made for the widest range of applications, parameter of CRF-series are designed for circuits with clearly defined failure-mode-conditions.
Additionally to existing styles of their Low-Ohm (shunt) resistors, VITROHM now offers the resistance range of 10 mOhms to 3,3Ohms in flat (slim-line) ceramic cases.
